Your Life Purpose, The Universe, and Bare Faced Truth.

Want a short answer about how to find your life purpose? Try this one out for size:

Be the bright and vibrant (or subtle) colour that you are now, because in all probability, it may all end in beige.

Too cryptic for you?

By all accounts if and when the energy contained in the universe peters out in universal heat death, what remains of it will just be something that is just inert, and, by some accounts, beige in colour.

Whether or not this is an accurate prediction is a matter I happily leave to theoretical physicists, cosmologists, and metaphysicians.

The poet in me knows that, despite the accuracy of the theory, there is an allegorical value in it all the same. It echoes something of the reality of life as I see it.

Think Yourself Happy – The Dangers of Positive Thinking

There are limits to how far a single piece of advice might be of help when it comes to changing life for the better.

This should be fairly self evident, and yet the internet is rife with suggestions like the one that all you need to do to change your life is to change your vibration. The idea that by changing how you think and how you feel then the material world will somehow fall into alignment around you.

The thing is that this is not necessarily wrong or even bad advice. Changing how you think, and being present with your feelings is not bad advice, it’s just that for some people, it’s not enough.

In fact, for some people, for whom the issues are so deep beneath the surface, or so close to their face, such advice may even be harmful.

A Practical Approach to Self Hypnosis

What you feed yourself in food, in thought, in word, and in deed, becomes you.

In the same way that your diet effects your body, the language you use and the thoughts you have influence your psyche – your psyche being the sum total of your conscious and unconscious, mental and emotional life. Your Soul if you like, which, I would like to add is not the counterpart to your body, but rather, the flip side of it.

You may have heard me use the allegory that consciousness, and, by extension, life, as being like standing on a shore between two great oceans; one within and one without.
